Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights as a user of EnergyTRX. Effective 2026-05-14.
Information we collect
We collect three categories of data. Account data — your email address and a hashed copy of your password (we never store passwords in plain text). Custodial deposit address — when you create an account, we generate a unique TRON address that EnergyTRX owns and controls. This address is assigned to your account so we know which deposits to credit. The cryptographic key for this address is held by us, never by you, and is used only to route incoming TRX to our hot wallet; it is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and the master encryption key lives in environment variables, separate from the database. Transaction history — deposits to your custodial address, energy purchases, and delegation receipts. We do NOT collect the private keys, seed phrases, or recovery data for your personal wallet (TronLink, Trust Wallet, Ledger, etc.). Your personal wallet is never connected to EnergyTRX and never communicates with our backend.
How we use it
We use the data above to authenticate you, process orders, credit deposits to your in-platform balance, detect fraud, deliver support, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell or rent your data.
Security
EnergyTRX operates a custodial deposit model — the TRON address shown in your dashboard is platform-owned infrastructure, not your personal wallet. We never store private keys for your personal wallet. Full details, including encryption, operational controls, and what we deliberately do not do, are documented on our dedicated security page.
Sharing
Limited sharing with our infrastructure partners for order fulfilment, with TRON network nodes for on-chain operations, and with external service providers (hosting, analytics) under data-processing agreements. We never share account credentials or custodial address keys with third parties.
Retention
Account and transaction data are kept while your account is active. Deletion requests are honored within 30 days unless we are legally required to retain records (for example, anti-money-laundering audit trails).
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data; opt out of marketing emails; and lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Email [email protected] to exercise any of these rights.
